DS Brand Outlines Timeline for Future Models

On Sept 4th in Vélizy, France, DS held a press event where the brand outlined what future models they plan to offer and when.  Dejan Orovic, was there and reports what was announced:

Model: D34

  • Launch:Q2 2019, 13.9.18 presentation for journalists, Mondial Paris
  • Factory: Poissy
  • Class: B SUV Premium
  • Specs: DS matrix Led lights, Focal Hi-Fi, DS smart access, Drive assist, flush fiting door handles, 6 interiors, 10-12 colors, electric engine: range up to 450 km, power 100 kW, bat. capacity 50 kWh, charging 80% in 30 min.

Model: X83

  • Launch:Q4 2019 in Europe
  • Factory: Shenzen, China
  • Class: D Sedan Premium (Audi A4, BMW 3, MB C)
  • Specs: flagship of PSA, massage and ventilated front and rear seats, full parking assist, 4WD, rear tail light above at C column (like in the original 1955 DS)

Model: D41 Cross

  • Launch: 2021 in Europe
  • Factory: Sochaux
  • Class: C Cross Premium

Model: D41 Street

  • Launch: 2021 in Europe
  • Factory: Sochaux
  • Class: C Cross Premium

Prototype: DS X E-tence

  • Launch: 2035 in Europe

Though the event was overshadowed by the disclosure of sliding DS sales worldwide, the company pointed out that in the past 8 months in France 13,000 DS7 Crossback models were sold and 75% of customers choose the most expensive version, while 45% of the vehsicles are equipeed with DS drive assist.  The DS7 Crossback is the top selling SUV in its class.
