Rare Citroën and Tatra to be Auctioned at Pebble Beach

A 1962 Citroën ID19 Le Dandy Coupe has just been listed to be auctioned at the Gooding & Company Pebble Beach Auction. We don’t have details yet on the Le Dandy, but suffice to say it should command a premium dollar.

Le Dandy, effectively a hard-top version of the Henri Chapron built convertible called Le Caddy, was available with an optional hardtop like this one has. Like Le Caddy, Le Dandy with its low roofline was only a two-seater. Over its eight-year run, a total of just fifty were made.

1938 Tatra T77A Limousine

The Tatra 77 may be very familiar to many Citroën enthusiasts. It is owned by John Long who owned Escargot Motors in Toronto with his brother Greg and sold 2CVs. John subsequently moved to California and is now building Bowlus Road Chief camping trailers that cater to a well-heeled Pebble Beach crowd. John found the Tatra in the Soviet Union in very sad shape and had is painstakingly restored in Czechoslovakia by Tatra specialists. John showed it at Meadowbrook in 2006.
