• March 2, ’24 – 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm — NWCOC Winter Potluck — Join us for the North West CItroën Owners Club Winter Potluck at Little Hammers (Chris Middleton‘s old shop); 3431 – 16th Ave West, Seattle. The event will be a potluck, so we request that you bring something to eat or drink. The club often gets lots of desserts, so we request that you try to bring a savory item, snack, salad, or beverage (although sweets are welcome as well). There are no kitchen facilities at the shop, but we will have a food table with electrical power, so a crock pot or a small heated device will be possible. The club will provide silverware, plates, cups, etc. The shop is heated, somewhat marginally, so we suggest wearing warm clothes if it is a cold day. The shop has lots of dirty projects in active work, so don’t wear light colored or expensive clothing. Kids are welcome, but will need to be monitored since there are plenty of tools, sharp objects, heavy items, dirty items, and chemicals. RSVP to: NWCOC@earthlink.net

  • Oct. 18 – 20, ’24 — West Coast Rendezvous —  Merced, CA. Annual event, this year organized by the San Francisco Regional Citroën Car Club (SFRCCC). A youthful and diverse community, Merced is located in the heart of California’s agricultural Central Valley and was historically known as the “Gateway to Yosemite”. The revitalized downtown is emerging as the arts and entertainment centre of the area. Home base for the weekend will be the historic 114-room El Capitan Hotel. Designed by architect Edward T. Foulkes, whose résumé includes the grand Oakland Tribune office tower in downtown Oakland, the El Capitan was a favourite in the 1920s of Mary Pickford, America’s sweetheart of the silent film era, and her husband, Douglas Fairbanks. The hotel was renovated and completely modernized in 2021. Our group rate ranges from $139 to $165 per night depending on the room selected. As usual, we’ll have a Saturday drive and scenic luncheon. Our dinner that night will be at the historic Mainzer Theatre next door to the hotel. More information will be posted in the coming days with links to register for the event and secure a hotel room.
