  • Aug 9 – 12 ’19  –  Citroën Centenary Weekend in Wisconsin. This will be in conjunction with the annual Botham Vinyard Vintage Classic Car Show (8180 Langberry Road, Barneveld, WI 53507).  Paul Vogel has made these useful anticipatory arrangements with the Swiss Aire Motel, a 26-room motel in the scenic town of New Glarus, WI. https://newglarusbrewing.com/ourtown/map.  Rooms are $110 and $100 with a 2-night minimum stay.  https://swissaire.com/contact-us.  Call and say you are with the “Citroen Celebration” to get put together in the group of rooms we have reserved.  (NOTE: As there are only 26 rooms in the entire facility, it would be wise to ‘book early’ to guarantee your presence with the group. You can reserve your space now (with a credit card) with the option to cancel, without any cost or obligation, up to 48 hours before August 9.)  Here is a little article about the area:  https://tinyurl.com/yywxc4dj.  Tall Ships will be in Duluth beginning that Sunday (present for a full three days, August 11-13, allowing interested parties to do both venues).  We have added August 12 to the schedule, allowing for people to stay overnight in New Glarus Sunday evening and then drive up to Duluth to see the Tall Ships, should that interest you.  For more info, contact Paul Vogel at: letube@me.com or 630-212-5816.

  • Sept 28 – 29 ’19  –  Car Show of New England.  The Weekend’s activities begin on Saturday morning with an all French car show at Endicott Park in nearby Danvers, Massachusetts.  The day will include a wide variety of activities catered to French Car enthusiasts including a seminar, tech session, as well as a BBQ lunch and awards given out by a people’s choice vote in multiple French classes.  On Sunday, The Boston Cup (now in its 8th year) is considered to be one of the finest Classic Car Shows in New England and the only car show of its calibre in the Northeast. With over 30,000 people in attendance and a 1,000 VIP’s, The Boston Cup continues to draw and delight car enthusiasts from all over New England and beyond.  To date, this event has never featured a class of French cars.  The show encompasses the area surrounding the Parkman Bandstand on the eastern side of the Boston Common in the heart of the city, and is one of the most picturesque settings for a car show.  Prior to the Boston Cup, all French cars are invited to join in a parade into Boston on Sunday morning.  The intent of the show is to be an annual celebration featuring all automobiles of French origin, however, this year Citroën has been chosen for a number of reasons including: their numerous automotive firsts, daring styling choices, historic international expeditions, sporting accomplishments and, of course, their 100th Anniversary!  For more Information on the event contact: Nick Dimopoulos, email: ndimopoulos@msn.com or call: 978-774-4588.  For more information on the Boston Cup visit: www.thebostoncup.com/.  To have your car considered for the Boston Cup: https://thebostoncup.com/submit-your-car/
