A Very Happy Citroën Place — Peace & Love Rendezvous 2024

For the 6th year Rick Dehean and Katty Smismans hosted their Peace & Love Rendezvous at St-Alphonse-Rodriguez, QC.

On August 24 & 25, Les Automobiles de Rik took on the role of canteen rather than repair garage for Citroens, as devotees from as far away as Massachusetts gathered for fun food and fellowship.

Saturday from 8:30 am to noon was arrival registration and the opportunity to buy and exchange Citroën items.

Folks relaxed at noon for lunch and in the afternoon took a guided tour of the walnut garden in Saint-Ambroise-de-Kildare. Then it was back to Les Automobiles de Rik for a costume competition.

At 6 pm the dinner menu included: Paella or sausage, salad, dessert and coffee along with libation brought to event by attendees.

Partying continued well into the night with some people choosing to camp on premises while others chose to stay at local motels.

Sunday started with a buffet brunch in the garage from 8:30 – 10:30 am followed by the Olympic Games @ Les AutoMobiles de Rik.

Early afternoon, attendees took a walk in the forest next door with Anaïs the Herbalist followed by a relaxed afternoon to chat enjoy another free meal.

All in all — a fun casual weekend that everyone looked forward to participating in again next year!
