What a May it has been. Steady rain for most if it, though it did manage to stay relatively dry for our first outing of the year, in what has become our annual Toronto Spring Adventure Rally.
This gives local CAC members the chance to exercise their Citroëns about town after winter storage and before we begin the longer treks of the season.
The Rally was fun but because of the weather there were only two cars, Jeff Teerlinck with his 2CV and Ken McGuinness with his DS23. Raj showed up in his XM to wish us off. Simon Walker also turned up and braved the day with Jeff and Doug in Jeff’s 2CV. The rest of us piled into Ken’s DS and finished the rally with a great deal of hilarity among the spotty rain showers. Jeff won (most likely due to the merriment and goings on in the DS).
After the drive Doug led us to Sharkey’s – an Oakville institution – on Bloor for lunch.
All in all good fun and not to be missed next year, rain or shine!
