Gooding & Company has listed 33 Citroëns from among the 115 items up for bids in the ‘Selection From The Mullin Collection Auction” that will be held at on April 26th. Everything is no reserve.

Among the Citroëns (pictured below) there are:

  • 1 – 1919 Type A Coupe de Ville
  • 1 – 1923 Type C 5 HP Torpédo
  • 1 – 1925 B12 Estate Wagon
  • 1 – 1927 5CV Trèfle
  • 1 – 1928 B14 Coupe
  • 1 – 1930 C4 Limousine
  • 3 – Traction Avant (including a 1937 “Challenger” Roadster project)
  • 6 – 2CV (including a 1966 Sahara)
  • 1 – Dyane
  • 1 – Méhari
  • 3 – Ami
  • 1 – HY Van
  • 7 – DS/ID (including a 1963 DS19 Concorde, a 1969 DS21 d’Usine Cabriolet, and a 1973 DS23 Prestige)
  • 2 – SM
  • 1 – M35 Prototype
  • 1 – GS Birotor
  • 1 – 2009 C3 Pluriel

While some cars appear to be in pristine condition (like the 1969 DS21 d’Usine Cabriolet and the 1966 2CV Sahara), and others obvious ‘projects’ (such as the 1937 “Challenger” Roadster), many may look good at first glance, but upon closer inspection give the impression that they were hastily purchased and prepared to make the deadline for the “Citroën: The Man, The Marque, The Mystique” exhibit that the Mullin Automotive Museum staged in 2017 and 2018.

For example, the 1952 2CV has an odd repair to the inner wall of the right front fender, and the 1957 2CV has some very patchy bodywork done where the right front fender bolts to the door sill.

And Gooding & Company does not guarantee that any of vehicles actually run!
