Though a little rough around the edges, but still a driveable Traction Avant, the French auction house Osenat managed to get a respectable 73.139 € for this 1937 7C Cabriolet that been serviced so it was at least operational after a lengthy period of storage. It sold on March 29, 2021 at Fontainebleau.
Osenat claimed that it is an authentic Traction convertible. We hope careful due diligence was done because the serial number plate showing 201011 was obviously a recent tack-on.
Estimated to fetch between 65.000 – 75.000 €, it fell within the ballpark, but it would take a considerable amount of money to elevate it to excellent condition. Nevertheless, if the buyer had less than 75.000 € in the budget to acquire one, at least a runner was purchased that is hopefully authentic and can be improved upon as time and resources allow.
