The 11th annual Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance, held at the Boca Raton Resort & Club on Saturday, February 11, had among its world class collector cars at the charity auction, an all original 1964 2CV. A little surface rusted, it had an aura of “I’ve served a long life, and look how well I’ve aged.” A respray would freshen it up nicely, but the battleship grey look with a few rust streaks suits the car perfectly.
It was offered at no reserve and sold for $9,900 US.
Though a total of $2,620,250.00 was raised in the auction, the real gift was to the new owner of this charming 2CV.

I was there and saw her in the flesh… wonderful original 2CV. I was able to give the new owners a 30 minute overview and ‘test drive’ around the hotel parking lot. It will join their Morris convertible in their garage and will stay in Florida. But please don’t paint it
