Things are looking up for PSA Peugeot Citroën. The company has finally pulled out of a 6 year European market slump. But before the champagne corks pop just yet, it was a marginal Q1 revenue increase of 1.9 % year to year.
Contrast that with rival Renault that has experienced a 80% increase in the 1st quarter. The hopeful sign for Citroën is that Renault’s success was in good measure due to the Renault Captur, – its new entrant into the SUV market.
SUVs are now the fastest growing sector in Europe and with the recent launch of the C4 Cactus SUV, (See: https://citroenvie.com/citroen-delivers-simply-chic-in-the-c4-cactus/ ).
Hopefully demand will be strong for it as well.
