While Flaminio Bertoni was busy at Citroën perfecting the actual production design of the DS, US automakers were displaying these 1950s concept cars. They were automotive art; pure fantasy on wheels, built to attract public attention, test wild engineering ideas, and give motorists a fleeting glimpse down the highway of tomorrow. Bertoni had a better vision of the future our opinion.
