Citroën Autoclub Canada’s annual Christmas party was held on Dec. 3. This year it was once again at the Granite Brewery & Restaurant in Toronto. 42 members attended and enjoyed a delicious brunch. Dessert included a 3D cake shaped as 2CV in a funky cartoonist manner. It got a lot of oohh’s & aahh’s when it was unveiled.
The lights are high in the rear but it makes a cute happy face!
During lunch we screened the 2CV retrieval video that the Club produced 20 years ago when a 2CV belonging to Glen Fryer was floated across the Black River near Orrilia in the Muskokas. That bought back memories!
Club president George Dyke presented the 2016 Golden Sphere Award to Jim Sciberas. Jim (pictured right) won for boundless energy and enthusiasm for the past 20 years. He has also taken an active and continuing role in our club housing and keeping a watchful eye on our club tools. Congratulations and thank you Jim!
Everyone got to take home a Citroënvie shirt and 2CV and DS window stickers!
Our Christmas party has become an annual tradition. A great way to meet friends, find out all the exciting things the Club has planned for 2017 and exchange best wishes for the Holiday Season!
Happy for Jim, what a lovely surprise, you have the Golden Sphere, make sure to use it;)
