In a just released video titled “Opën the way”, for the brand’s just launched new C4 models, the “the key eras of Citroën hatchbacks”, as they put it, are shown in quick cuts to attract young buyers of the their sporty compact SUV.
The pitch of this fast-paced second video about the new ë-C4 – 100% ëlectric shows happy moments of mobility and freedom being engraved into the two youthful drivers, and hopefully into the collective imagination of viewers. This is accomplished with the song “Oh Happy Day” which is the anthem of the new global advertising campaign.
It’s good to see that Citroën is now leveraging the potential of its heritage to promote the new C4.
To me the glimpses of an old GS in this commercial only serve to remind me of how the current designers have lost the plot and failed to equal the beauty of the classice Citroens.
