Collection of Close to 100 Citroëns to be Auctioned

On Saturday, September 28, 2024, a barn find collection of almost 100 Citroëns that an enthusiast has accumulated over the years will be sold by Hôtel des Ventes de La Seine in France. (Hôtel des Ventes de la Seine is located in the small town of Fleury-sur-Andelle.)

It will be an auction for all tastes… and all budgets.

A compulsive collector who, throughout his life, bought everything that could come from the Quai de Javel, has finally decided to get rid of his treasures. And the term treasure is not usurped when you take a look at some of the models that will go under the auctioneer’s hammer.

A plethora of 2CVs in various condition (some, like a 1950 2CV — almost new) will be offered.

There are pre-war Citroëns;

Méharis (including a 4×4 AWD model);

Ami 6 and 8 in saloon and estate versions.;

A selection of Type H Vans;

As well as DS, a SM and CX;

Speaking of CX, a rare Tissier camper van based on the CX will cross the auction block;

Also on offer will be:

A M35, the experimental model with a rotary engine, produced in only 267 units;

A GS bi-rotor showing 42,000 km;

A GSA Pallas C-Matic which with 6,400 km;

A Visa GTI and Chrono as well as a BX Sport with 92,000 km showing on the odometer and a rare BX 4TC of which only 40 examples remain in the world today;

And a Citroën Bijou, a coupe based on a 2CV produced and sold exclusively in the United Kingdom in the 1960s. Only 207 were made.

Many vehicles in the collection are “time capsules”, having been driven very little and which, despite their age, seem to have come straight from the dealership.
