A 1967 Citroën DS19 Pallas slipped by most people’s radar on the week of Pebble Beach in Monterey, CA. It appeared for sale in the Mecum auction on Thursday, August 14, 2025 (Lot T35) selling for a mere $15,980 USD!
The listing stated an odometer showing only 41,936 kilometers, and these few details:
- VIN / Serial: 4324891
- 1985cc inline 4-cylinder engine
- Boîte de Vitesses Hydraulique 4-speed semi-automatic transaxle
- Hydropneumatic suspension
- Swiveling headlights
- Power steering
- Power brakes with front discs
- Stainless trim
Only 6 photos were provided, but judging by them the car appears to be in exceptional condition.

Maybe there were mechanical issues, or the underside was far from pristine, but even so, for an outlay of under $16K for this DS, by all accounts someone got a bargain!
Mecum tends to know little about Citroëns as evidenced in 2021 when at their Monterey auction held on August 14, they listed a 1966 2CV that they stated had a 425cc engine, drum brakes and a 6-volt electrics.
In the photos you can see that there is a 12-volt alternator and it is obvious that the car had been refitted with 602cc engine and front disc brakes at some point, further evidenced by the hanging gas, brake and clutch pedals visible in the interior.

The 2CV, VIN / Serial 1884721, sold for $12,100 USD.
