Factory Original condition, except for the few parts that needed to be replaced (See list). All panels and the frame are original and the paint is also Factory Original.
This beauty was always kept as a collector’s item. This is why the original mileage is only 16,930 km (10,581 mi) from new.
After sitting for 35 years, some parts needed to be replaced for getting too old. So I installed brand new tires, a new roof, a new battery, new seat covers with fresh foam and replaced some seals and gaskets (that are notorious to go bad over time) as a preventive measure. All the maintenance work was done. The car is turnkey.
- New roof (Fabric was hard after all these years)
- Brand new tires with new valves
- Fresh oil and oil filter
- Fresh transmission fluid
- New points
- New spark leads
- Spark plugs
- Fresh air filter (Foam was deteriorating)
- Carburetor cleaned and overhauled
- New heating hoses (Foam was deteriorating)
- Fresh brake pads and calipers with new O-rings (Preventive maintenance)
- Fresh LHM fluid
- Fresh oil seals on the stub axles with new bearings (Preventive maintenance)
- New fuel filter and fresh fuel lines (Old fuel lines were hard and brittle)
- New rear view mirrors (Plastic trims were brittle)
- New seat covers (Foam inside seat covers was deteriorating)
- New rubber dust boots on both drive shafts (Rubber got brittle)
- New clutch (Was not necessary, but once the engine is out it is so easy to do)
- New first silencer (Had superficial rust)
- New front bumper with tape (Had some big holes drilled for useless generic fog lights that I removed)
- New battery
- New windshield wipers (Rubber was brittle)
- New chrome trim front grill (Chrome plating had gone bad over time)
Some parts in the engine compartment were cosmetically refreshed by sandblasting and fresh painted.
- Manifold
- Heat exchange boxes
- Muffler clamps
- Engine mounts
- Flywheel
Equipment:
- Full size spare wheel
- Jack
- Hand crank handle
- Wheel wedge
- Winter front grill muff
Extras:

- Chrome headlight buckets
- Front grill with chrome trim
- Electronic regulator

- Special carpets
Rust protection:

- Frame was treated inside and out
- Complete underbody was treated
- Rocker panels were treated inside and under
You can own this marvel for $27,000 USD. It comes with a clear Michigan Title, and is located in Seattle, WA, so there is no surprise in expensive shipping from Europe, and there are no tariffs to pay.

Hi. Great example of a 2CV – a time capsule. Is the car still available?
Hi Bruce,
Thanks for your nice comment. Yes at this time the 2CV is still available.
Axel
Hi Bruce, is this car, which is exactly what I’m looking for, still available? Thank you for your efforts.
John Mueller
Hi John,
It just sold. It found a new loving home in Montana. Thanks for asking.
