We are saddened to report the passing of Lou Bevier of Canonsburg, PA on February 3, 2018. Lou had not been sick, and was struck suddenly by a massive heart attack at home at 81 years of age.
Lou was a long time Citroën owner and member of Citroënvie. Prior to joining Citroënvie he was a member of the now defunct Citroën Club of North America. Lou won numerous awards over the years in our Citroën community such as The People’s Choice for Best Series II CX at Carlisle for the years; 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017.
Lou was born December 18, 1936, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Ben and Rhea Olloman Bevier. He proudly served his country in the National Guard and owned and operated Lou Bevier Frame and Alignment in Canonsburg for over 40 years.
Lou loved cars and enjoyed going to car shows and collecting cars, automobile memorabilia and model cars. He was a member of Citroën, Jaguar and Packard car clubs. He was also a life member of Masonic Lodge 297 in Canonsburg.
On November 26, 1966, he married his loving wife of over 51 years, Zora “Joan” Priselac Bevier, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Marc Bevier and wife Kristin of Canonsburg; a daughter, Denise Galicic and husband Shawn of Canonsburg; and four grandchildren, Grant, Taylor, Ava and Ryan.
Friends were received on Wednesday afternoon February 7, at Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services Ltd. in Canonsburg and Masonic services were held at 7 p.m that evening in the funeral home followed by a private burial.
