The 2CV Could Well Point to the Future of the French Car Industry

2CV fans will find this recent article in The Irish Times both charming and spot on about the cars timeless appeal.  Author Neil Briscoe  describes his jaunt around Paris in a deux chevaux with his guide Geraldine and while that section is laced with poetic synonyms, he goes on to make the point that the 2CV is in so many ways a perfect template for the modern car.  He also reiterates much of what we have stated here in the past.  Especially that “The whole DS premium brand thing is a joke though and should just be stopped. Put the old C6 back into production instead – it still won’t sell, but at least it is unquestionably a great car.”
