The results from Osenat auctions in France this month held during Salon Époqu’Auto, indicate that prices for classic Citoëns are dropping dramatically. An authentic DS19 Cabriolet sold for just over €100K, about half the market value of a year ago. A 1976 CX sold for just €6K, €2K below the minimum estimate, and two DS sedans sold for well below their estimates. Others, including a 2CV Sahara, a SM, two CX and three DS did not meet their reserve. While the number of Citroëns becoming available these days may be a factor, prices do seem to be trending downward. Here’s what was offered, what sold and what did not:
