CAC 2024 Christmas Party – Happy Holidays!

On December 7, 2024, Citroën Autoclub Canada held their annual Christmas party returning to The Mandarin Restaurant to enjoy a vast brunch buffet selection. Meeting at 11:30 am, and after remarks from CAC president George Dyke, then a photo op, the group had first crack at the entire spread.

After lunch, George Dyke gave a presentation on the history Citroen Autoclub Canada and Citroënvie, introduced the officers elected at the Club’s planning meeting in November, and announced the events that CAC has planned for 2024. They include:

• a Spring outing to Wellington County on May 24.
• a tour of the Niagara wine region on July 19
• the fall outing with a wine tasting as we travel to Bailieboro just north of Port Hope on Oct. 4.
• and of course our Christmas party on Saturday Dec 6.

With winter weather with us, it was the perfect time to hand out lovely Citroënvie scarves to members at the party, embroidered with the Citroënvie logo on one end and chevrons on the other.

George also took the opportunity to introduce and had out to Premium Members the just completed 2025 Citroënvie printed calendars.

Citroën Autoclub Canada’s 2024 Golden Sphere “Philippe” Award was presented to Zikko Mallah for his pursuit in restoring his 2CV to perfection. It was a long and expensive process but he persevered and we congratulate him on the win.

George also announced that the winner of the 2024 Dave Kane “all it needs is a clutch” Award was Pierre-francois Raimbault for the transformation that he made to a well-worn old 2CV that his father once owned. Unfortunately Pierre-francois could not make to party to personally accept the award.
