Chris Dubuque has made another in-depth research effort regarding the history of Citroën in the USA and Canada. This time his focus was on the 2CV; how they were imported and the features specific to them for the North American market. His work is a fantastic resource that you can find here: https://www.seattlecitroen.net/us-canadian-2cvs

  1. Incredible interesting information regarding the 2CV cars sold new in the US, for me of course it is especially interesting since I own two 1956 and one 1957 2CV, Belgium built cars that were imported by Citroen Car Corp in Beverly Hills. Many thanks for the great information.

  2. Hello…. I just came across a rather colorful (hand painted by an artist) 2CV that seems to have been imported through official Citroen channels (speedo in miles, larger headlights….) it has the 602cc with drum brakes, is presently in 12V , “modern” bonnet (vs rippled), 6 side windows., turn signals up there by the 3rd window (no signals on fenders)..etc….the title indicates year 1958 but I doubt that to be true, the present owner believes it could be 1964; the serial # 02814981 does not seem to match anything found on reference books. I personally thought it came from the Belgian plant, Forest, but now not sure.
It needs a lot of TLC and mostly: it has no seats….does any of you know a source for seats or just seat frames front and back?
