On the 2nd anniversary of the DS being offered in China, Citroën took the wraps off the interior of the DS6 WR, SUV that was introduced at this year’s Beijing Auto Show. The premium DS brand model is largely inspired from the DS5. It retains the “watch strap” seats and features subtle use of brushed aluminum trim.
Inspired by the Wild Ruby prototype and designed Citroën’s Shanghai stylists, the DS 6WR SUV is based on the platform common to the DS5 and the DS5 LS and will be produced at their factory in Shenzhen. It will be released in the fall solely for Chinese market.
With this third model produced on Chinese soil, the French brand, which now has 60 DS showrooms in the country, hopes that the DS 6WR SUV will be the incentive for continued sales growth there.
