Robert Farrell, Citroënvie member from Illinois, recently attended the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and sent us the following photos with a few observations; The emphasis at the show from the French automaker was on the DS brand. Large avant-garde display walls with just the DS logo and even the presence of a 1971 DS set the stage to drive home the innovation and legendary style that is supposed to underscore the DS brand today. (Editor’s Note: The 1971 DS is by far the best looking car at the booth!)
Highlighting the DS brand was the introduction of the DS4 and DS Crossback, featured in our blog article on Sept 16. (https://citroenvie.com/18403/)
Meanwhile in a separate booth along with their Méhari moderne – M Cactus Concept debut (https://citroenvie.com/mehari-moderne-citroen-m-cactus-concept/), Citroën showed off the C3 and the C4 Picasso.
On the C4 Picasso, check out the windshield extending into the roof, and the continuation the windshield glass into the sunroof.
While there Robert actually rented a C4 Picasso diesel 6-speed. He reports that it is truly fantastic car, once he got used to the engine stopping at stop lights…..
Robert is 6’-6” tall, and even he could barely reach the center of the windshield to hang his GPS!
