Based on the pre-publication publicity and the announced title “Citroën Les Plus Authentiques”, I thought more substance would be offered to readers for 39 euros plus shipping and currency conversion.

Visually it is a collection of 14 photoshoots, but with the exception of the Traction Avant and the Méhari sections (where 2 cars are featured in each) only 1 car of each model is shown.

The book displays some nice pictures of Citroën cars from TAVs to C6 and a summary of each of those cars’ history and technical features. However, the book is so wide-encompassing that long-time Citroënnists would find very little to learn about those Citroën cars covered in it.

All in all, the author has only glossed over each car. See the cover and the summary page.

It’s really more of a coffee table display book than any reference book that you would want to have on hand to understand various model details and variations.
