Méhari Night in Toronto

by George Dyke…..

Back in September Jim Sciberas and I did a video shoot for driving.ca with my two Citroën Méharis. We had talked about it for some time with producer Clayton Seams, who has developed an appreciation for Citroens over the past few years. (Clayton did a video/article on my SM and also a video/article with Simon Walker on his 2CV. Both have proved to be the most popular videos on driving.ca).

This time the intent was to convey the experience I get every time I take a Méhari for a drive in downtown Toronto. Of course, for full effect, we chose a warm night (so not to bake in the sun) when we could tour about the city with the roof off and windshield folded down. The resulting video is a great balance between the effect the Méhari has on people and providing info about the car, not to mention the fact that Clayton made me look pretty good (a formidable challenge in its own right):

Road & Track just picked up on it and did an article!

Here’s the original article that appeared on driving.ca yesterday:

Clayton wrote me to say; “It was a ton of fun to make and my editors say they’re looking for more classic Citroën content this spring/summer.”
