PSA Peugeot Citroën has released details about the latest update to their commercial vans, the Citroën Jumpy and the Peugeot Expert. Both new models are scheduled to go on sale in Europe in June 2016.
Offered in three different body lengths (4.6m-4.95m-5.3m), the new Peugeot Expert and Citroën Jumpy offer the same options to professionals as with their sister car, the new Toyota Proace Van.
“The new Peugeot Expert and Citroën Jumpy are designed to win market share and help us reach the objectives of our profitable growth plan,” said Carlos Tavares, PSA’s Chairman.
Featuring innovations like hands-free sliding side doors, a new modular system for the cargo space, Active Safety Brake and connected 3D navigation using a voice-controlled tablet, the company claims their new vans will continue to lead their market segment in Europe.
Their new platform also means a lighter construction of between 100kg and 150kg, depending on the engine. Both are going to be available with 5 diesel engines ranging from 95hp to 180hp and three gearbox options (manual, robotized manual and automatic).
