This past fall the organizers of the Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance held at the Hilton Head Island Resort in SC, invited Citroënvie member Joseph “Woody” Rutter to display his lovely 1952 Traction 11B Legere. They wanted it for the “Motoring Midway” section, where they displayed “automotive firsts”. The Traction represented the first front wheel drive car with monocoque construction.
Here are some photos of it on display adjacent to a Bugatti Veyron.
Nice to see that the Traction Avant is finally getting the recognition it deserves at major North American automotive events.

Next year the Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance is being held from October 23 – November 1. Perhaps another significant Citroën will be featured?
