OK die hard Traction Avant fans, have we got a video for you. Posted by Video Parisien the clip is called “My weekend in Anjou driving an old car”. They opted for a Traction to visit a variety collectors on the banks of the Loire. The video depicts an exciting journey performed on various roads of the Anjou region. You get a sense it is as was in the 1960’s as they take us along for the ride. Watch here:
All those museums shown are near Saumur. Well worth a look if you are fortunate enough to be in the region.
The Traction Avant was sourced from Aglaë and Augustin de Bethune, the owners of Rétro Émotion, who rent their classic cars to people who would like to drive them in the Loire region. Along with the 1955 Traction 11BL they offer a 1960 Renault Dauphine and a 1965 Renault Caravelle 1100.
They bill their Traction as: “Queen, myth, beauty, luxury, comfort, robustness, security, power … Traction is THE car of superlatives!” How right they are!
