I purchased this lovely Belgian 2CV6 from a collector in Toronto Canada in 2010 for my 50th birthday. I lovingly took care of it and always garaged it indoors until the last 6 months. I drove it on weekends in the summer time. I maintained it regularly through a European car garage in Bowmanville Ontario.
Unfortunately I no longer live in Canada and cannot import it to California due to emissions regulations here, so sadly, I must put it up for sale, and hope it will find a new owner who will love it as I did.
It was fully driveable until about 6 months ago, when the transmission seems to have locked up in gear. I looked at options to get the transmission fixed or replaced, but being at the other side of the continent, it’s just not possible. So, I am selling it in non-driveable condition at this point. Everything else was functioning fine other than this.
The battery would need to be recharged.
Exterior is in excellent condition for a 1978 vehicle, paint is good. The front fenders show signs of deterioration in the wheel wells (pic attached) but outside surface is great.. The interior is spotless and in excellent condition.
Vehicle is being stored, covered at a friend’s house in East Toronto.
This is a beautiful example of a nice 2CV6 with low mileage and a galvanized frame. Just needs the transmission replaced. Looking for someone who will get as much enjoyment and smiles from this car as I did!
