The Bojarski Affair is a French film directed by Jean-Paul Salomé, released in 2025. It tells the story of the rise and fall of Jan Bojarski, a young Polish engineer who sought refuge in France . In the post-war period, he became one of the country’s greatest counterfeiters, leading a double life for over fifteen years, completely unbeknownst to those around him. Set against a backdrop of crime fiction and historical reconstructions of the 1950s and 60s, the film follows both the creative obsession of this ingenious craftsman and the police manhunt that led to his downfall.
