We are pleased to announce that all the Citroën parts and equipment of the late Jerry Hathaway’s SM World have been purchased by Jean-Francois (JF) Martin at MARRS — Martin Automotive Repair & Racing Services in Santa Clarita CA. MARRS is expanding their space by 2.5x and everything will be moved to MARRS premises this coming Saturday.
JF is especially excited about the acquisition as he has great respect for what Jerry accomplished over the years with SM World. It has taken 3 attempts and many months dealing with Jerry’s estate to get the deal done as there were 2 other bidders that had made offers but failed to raise the necessary funds.
JF says he will remain operating under the MARRS name, but of course the rich legacy of Jerry and SM World will now be a part of his business as he offers enhanced and much welcomed Citroën repair services for DS and SM owners in the Los Angeles area and abroad.

I can’t think of a better person than Monsieur Martin to carry on the legacy of Jerry Hathaway’s SM World.
Jean-François has become a friend but first he was (and still is) my Citroën mechanic (Two 2CVs, one ID21 Break and a ’73 SM).
His talent is multi-faceted (and multi brands) as he’s also an amazing engineer with a real understanding of mechanics. I also count on him for maintaining my motorcycles (mostly BMWs and one lonely Bimota).
Let me join Dominique above in wishing him the best in his new (ad)venture.
