For the first time in our trip, no one was in a rush to get up early and go anywhere.
Maybe it was the rain, our first real rain of the trip, a soaker that started last night and lasted right into the morning. We got up later and with a fire going in the living room there was no reason to rush off.

On a rainy day where else would you rather be?
After breakfast we sent our hosts off to test drive Marcel. They came back laughing. Not sure we converted them yet, but they clearly liked their short drive.
Jan-Marie and Drew whipping up some French toast (what else) for breakfast.
Drew says goodbye to Axel and Uschi.
We followed a path that our hosts recommended perfect for our 2CVs, smaller, not a lot of traffic and great Adirondack scenery.
Along the way we stopped at the Hope Diner and enjoyed some terrific food and conversation with the nice ladies working there who were very interested in our cars.
Short ride from Newcomb to Saratoga.
A short ride took us on to Saratoga Springs and the beginning of Rendezvous 17.
It was like a Hollywood musical set when we pulled in. Citroëns everywhere and a big crowd of people mingling. All it needed was some music and a choreographer.
We met a lot of owners and got to see a bunch of new cars (well, they were new to us). After registration, pizza and a delicious brew, thanks to the Canadians who come packing to party, we headed off to our hotel for the night…big day tomorrow.
