For Sale – 1984 Burton (Citroën 2CV based roadster)

Extremely clean, straight, and factory original 1984 Burton.  35,000 miles.

My research tells me there are less than 9 of these (more like 5) in all of North America. This particular Burton is close to museum quality and definitely high-end collector quality.  Due to the combination of factory colors and factory options, this factory ordered/built car is truly “eye candy”.  It is a unique ride that is inspired by the lines of Bugatti’s, Delahaye’s, Morgan’s and Jaguar’s. The car has ALL the factory options:  “gull wing” removable hardtop, never used black canvas convertible top, side curtains, never used black canvas tonneau cover, factory heated seats, factory big bore kit, factory carb “power tube”, and optional side exit exhaust.

It has a fresh tune up, oil change, battery, and professional Burton mechanic “go over”.

Honestly, without fail, every time I run errands I have to incorporate an extra 15 minutes just to answer questions and allow photos.  At car shows it always attracts a large crowd.  The part I enjoy the most……. it “just makes people smile.”

Aside from that, this car is just so much fun to drive, and yes, I said “drive”.  This car you have to “drive”, you keep your foot in it, power shifting, anticipating hills up/down, and maneuvering around corners like they were not there.  I had large muscle cars/hot rods for years and I have to say, this is so much more fun as compared to other cars that you, more less, just aim (unless you are “showing off”).

This Burton is affordable, priced less than its true value, and is a reasonable investment with potential for a reasonable return on your investment, not to mention bragging rights along your journey.  If I sound enthusiastic and a proud owner, I am.  If I sound like a salesman, I am not.  I am just an average, honest guy looking to sell an above average product at a fare price.  The car sells itself.  No disappoints.  If you purchase this car, you’ll have nothing less than pride, and of course fun.  “With its low price tag and exceedingly affordable operating costs, cars like the Burton 2CV roadster have opened the door to classic car ownership to many people who would otherwise never have experienced it.”
