When James Middleton, (brother of Kate, Prince William’s wife) and his fiancé Alizée Thevenet were married on September 11 in France, the couple chose as the setting for their celebration, the village of Bormes-les-Mimosas, famous for being one of the most beautiful villages in the Côte d’Azur.

On the trip from the ceremony to the reception they rode in a white 2CV. The groom’s comment was; “the only car, to match the beauty of the village, would be a 2CV”. Such a profound statement that a photo of them in the car not only graced the cover of Hello Magazine, but was the feature pic for their wedding article inside.

Obviously an appropriate choice — and nice to see the 2CV getting a Royal nod as an official wedding car!
