Two ladies from the Czech Republic intend to celebrate the 2CV’s 75th birthday and prove it’s durability by participating in one of the most demanding and prestigious races in the world.
They are registered in the Classic category. Barbora Holická and Lucie Engová along with mechanic Tomáš Neruda want to show the world that the Citroën 2CV is still alive, strong and ready to do even the most difficult terrains and challenges.
They have been prepping their “Cazy Duck” for over a year and have starting number #712!
It will also be receiving an unmistakable design by Czech pop-art artist Josef Rataj.
It will be interesting to follow their adventure. The 2CV may not be able to win for speed but it sure has the potential to make it across the finish line.
You can view their preparation and trip progress at these Facebook, Instagram and website links:
Of course participating in the Dakar Rally is expensive and they are reaching out for financial support to complete final testing and pay for the participation and transport costs of the car.
