Once again the annual New York City Bastille Day Caravan Rallye Tour will grace the streets of downtown Manhattan on Sunday, July 15. This will be its 19th year, and it promises, like past ones, to be an eclectic mix of people and Citroëns that make the event such a success.
We came across this 2.5 minute video produced by the New York Times that captured the moment in 2015. Titled “Vintage French Cars Turns Heads” what we love about it is how it portrays the experience of Citroën ownership and the intrigue the cars evoke on spectators. http://www.nytimes.com/video/automobiles/collectibles/100000003002930/vintage-french-cars-turn-heads.html
Mark your calendars for this year and come to the Bastille Day to experience it for yourself. More information can be found at: http://www.greaternycitroenvelosolexclub.com or email: Howie Seligmann at: hseligmann@usa.net.
Howie likes to refer to the Bastille Day event as “A giant combination of Chanukah, Noel, Eid al-Fitr, Thanksgiving, Divali, Vesak, Kawanza and the Chinese New Year all wrapped up in one.” No doubt there will be interesting people and fascinating vehicles all in the most engaging city on our planet.
