Long dark winters in Sweden have motivated designer and Citroën enthusiast Mikael Thelin in Stockholm to take his passion and along with his family and focus it on creating miniature scale Citroën models.

You may have come across N scale Citroëns thinking they are small at a ratio of 1:160, meaning the models are 1/160th the size of the real thing. That’s massive in Mikael’s mind. The models he produces are Z scale (1:220) and T scale (1:450) — so much smaller than N. They are his own unique designs, carefully crafted to represent the correct form with as much detail as the scale allows.

DS comparisons from real-size to Z scale model.

Citroen models offered along with the DS include; 2CV, Traction Avant, CX, SM and HY Van.

Their accuracy is astounding partly because Mikael has owned multiple real D’s:

1956 DS19 (# 2793 — One of the oldest surviving world wide)
1958 DS19
1960 ID19
1962 ID19 Super Confort
1968 DS21 Pallas
1973 DS20

He also has an original Belgian made 1959 2CV AZL3 that has been in the family since 1975.

His model enterprise has become a family business with his teenage kids. While Mikael does all the design, his son Sixten takes care of manufacturing and shipping, and his daughter Tora applies her artistic skills to special orders that require hand-painting.

Mikael has also developed a few other classic car models such as this BMC Mini and more are to come.

They offer an exclusive and very limited production using high precision additive manufacturing. Browse their website here:
