This Citroën is titled as a 1958 when actually by serial number it is a 1956. I fell in love with it at a large auction about 7 years ago and have no regrets.
Having been idle for many years, it needed quite a few things to get it back on the road. These included:
- 5 new Michelin radials
- plugs & wires
- coil
- complete brake system (all cylinders, lines both rubber and metal, shoes, etc.)
- fuel pump
- carburetor
- front/rear engine seals
- fuel tank cleaned
- seats restored
- an assortment of smaller things fixed or replaced.
It runs fine but can be fussy about starting at times.
The odometer reads 77,076 but isn’t functioning.
Also included would be parts that I purchased but haven’t installed, parts that I replaced but held on to, a couple special tools for working on the engine and any literature I also purchased.
Entire rear compartment was carpeted at some time in the past. Rust is present especially in the floor under the seats. However, the rust has left the frame and lower panel between frame rails intact with a good bit of undercoating still present.
I never intended to completely restore this vehicle – simply have it to tinker with and enjoy. It’s just time to move it on to someone who can appreciate it. My two other “toy” non-Citroen cars (one I’ve restored, another to tinker with) may also be sold but I’m starting with the Ctiroën.
Assistance and advice given by this great club has helped me decide on an asking price of $7,000,00 USD. Vehicle is sold as is without any warranty.
