The Technik Museum Speyer, Germany, in collaboration with the “Amicale Robert Opron,” is staging an exhibition titled “The Tenderness of the Absolute” commemorating the life and work of the renowned French automotive designer Robert Opron (1932-2021). The restyle of the DS (with headlights, behind “cats-eye” glass covers), the design of the GS, SM and the CX where some of Opron’s achievements while he was at Citroën.
Continuing until the end of February 2024, the opening of the exhibit was on December 9, 2023. Claudia Schneider owns the DS and the CX that are on display and sent us these lovely pictures:
She said that there wasn’t a lot of information given to the local Clubs, nor from the museum itself, so the opening was mainly attended by the owners of the cars and a few others from the German André Citroën Club.
The exhibition will be moving to Luxembourg in March to open on May 19 at the he National Automobile Museum in Diekirch, but as Claudia would like to drive both her CX and DS in the spring, she will take them back home from the Technik Museum.
