We hope this post motivates 2CV owners who drive their precious cars only short distances to take more lengthy trips in them.

Patricio Cardemil, ACI Member for Chile writes;

Last Sunday, we kicked off our annual Citroamigos activities with a trip to the coast. We were joined this time by Arnaud Rolland, who came from France, having traveled 25,000 km at this point in his 2CV with only a pair of spark plug wires, which failed in Puerto Montt, a city in Chile about 1,200 km from Santiago. It was a good experience having him here, and he was given all the support he needed.

  1. Nice to see a 2CV living out its true destiny. That 1955 car looks like it has had a heart transplant. I’m pretty sure that is a “modern” 602 drive train, and 12V electrics. Good decision for such an ambitious trip. Bravo!
