Putting a French flair to New York City in the form of Bastille Day celebrations has been an annual occurrence for the past 20 years, and thanks to Howie Seligmann, who has owned his 2CV for just over that timeframe, Citroëns have been a part of each event.
Each year Howie, with assistance for a group of volunteers he refers to as ‘the pit crew’, have brought Citroëns together to be a part of the event. This year on July 14th, in celebration 20 years of Citroëns at Bastille Day in the Big Apple, and of the 100th anniversary of Citroën itself, the company decided to include Howie and his 2 children in one of a series of video profiles they produced about Citroën owners around the world. It’s quite a sight to see dozens of Citroëns take over downtown Manhattan. In fact, Howie and his NYC Bastille Day effort have a flair for attracting media each year. Some memorable moments can be viewed here:
