The C6 was targeted at a clientele who displayed a certain degree of social success.
This year’s show is themed “Driven by Choice” and features over 45 automotive brands showcasing more than 650 vehicles.
When we look at this car, it is impossible not to make a comparison with a 2CV from the same year, and that is when we notice some distinctive signs of evolution.
It promises to be a memorable experience for those who have never sat in the lounge-like interior of the DS.
By autumn 1937, the design office at Citroën completed the first rolling prototype of a new utility vehicle which was unlike anything seen before.
Gooding Christie’s will be offering this Cabriolet at their Pebble Beach Auction on August 15, 2025.
The engine has been completely redone and the whole car refinished including the interior.
It was purchased by Greg Long from Harrah’s Auto Collection in 2004 and then it sold at a world record price of $66,000 US in 2012 during Retromobile in Paris.
It is in excellent condition and a very comfortable ride.
This exceptional 1972 Citroën SM has just 25,136 original miles and has undergone a meticulous, nuts-and-bolts restoration.
Driveable 1972 2CV with strong 602 motor. Calif. smog exempt.
It once resided in the collection of the late Peter Mullin at the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, CA.
Fully restored and been in my family since 1981.
Currently located in Northridge, CA.
