An Admiral of the Royal Navy happened to see a 2CV pick-up in a dealer close by the Marines’ barracks. Intrigued by the vehicle’s low weight – he arranged to borrow and test the 2CV pick-up, with an eye to equipping military commandos with them.
Jay acquired a mouse-infested 2CV Cabriolet for free that sat outside under a tarp in Southern California for a number of years.
Definitely a unique and probably the only surviving 2CV of its kind.

In ever-more ridiculous conversions of Citroën’s legendary little 2CV, the author and his partner have hiccupped through some 80 countries.
One one the most amusing segments is his experience driving a 2CV to Clermont-Ferrand and doing the classic test comparing its utility versus an actual horse and carriage.
