David Udsen from Denmark is taking his 1998 Citroën Xantia Activa V6 on an extensive trip across the USA and Canada. He planned to make the the trip last year, but plans got waylaid and so this year he shipped his car over and targeted the start of his trip to coincide with a visit to Rendezvous at Saratoga Springs, New York. (He won the award hand’s down for the car most traveled to the event!)
David has extended the length of his trip to 2.5 months, from June 10 to September 1 so he can get to see the total solar eclipse on August 21. He doesn’t have specific dates for stops along the way but does plan to be in Santa Cruz on July 16 and San Diego on July 30. The plan is to do a counter-clockwise trip around North America starting and ending in New York City.
His tentative road plan is as follows:
New York City > Saratoga Springs > via Woburn, Ville de Québec > Montréal > Toronto > Columbus> Chicago > Rapid City > via Coutts, Vancouver > via Port Angeles, Seattle > San Francisco > San Diego > Las Vegas > Austin > Tampa > Washington > New York City.
David is doing a travel blog of his trip that you can read here: http://granddetour.dk/
If you are Citroënist along that route, please reach out to him by email at: david@udsen.dk. He has created a current itinerary here: http://granddetour.dk/itinerary.html
