I participate every spring in the “Hagerty Spring Thaw Rally” put on by Classic Car Adventures in British Columbia. We cover 1,200 to 1,500 kms around BC mostly on smaller or secondary routes that are all well scouted out and planned by the organizers. We are supplied a route book, and it is a lot of fun! We have had many French cars over the years, but this year my 72 DS and my friend’s Peugeot 604 were the only Frenchies represented.
Including my commute from to start point and home from finish I put on 1,565 trouble free miles!! This event, I should mention, is heavily sponsored by Hagerty who provides us with sweep service, and flat deck towing for everyone involved, even those who are not insured with Hagerty!!
This years event included 85 cars all pre-1979.
