This year’s Carlisle show was blessed with great weather with no rain at all during the time on the actual showfield. There were examples of the 2CV, Truckette, Traction, DS, Mehari, Xantia, XM, and even a 1927 Citroën that was reportedly the oldest car of the entire event.

Citroëns@Carlisle is part of the Carlisle Import & Performance Nationals and is sponsored by Paul and Rose Anderson of Brad Nauss Automotive LLC. A Carlisle poster from 1986 showing Brad and Anna May Nauss and their Traction Avant was on display, the same car they brought this year — and still in pristine condition!

I gave a presentation about the continued resurrection of my 2CV after a fire and the rebuild of the gearbox of my Dyane. You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Df9FdaMPOJw&t=4s.

Dave Burnham gave a presentation of his time helping Jerry Hathaway of SM World race in Bonneville. Both presentations were well attended and informative.

The dinner on Saturday evening was a BBQ dinner and awards were handed out and door prizes were handed out.

It was a great event as always and let’s hope we can all see each other next year!
