On Dec 3, 2022 Citroën Autoclub Canada held their annual Christmas party returning to The Mandarin Restaurant to enjoy the vast buffet selection that they offer. With a start time of 11:30 am, the group had first crack at the entire spread.

At 1 pm Club president George Dyke gave a presentation updating membership numbers, the officers elected at the Club’s planning meeting in November, and an announcement of the events that CAC has planned for 2023.

George also took the opportunity to introduce the just completed 2023 Citroënvie printed calendar and present Citroën Autoclub Canada’s 2022 Golden Sphere “Philippe” Award to George Klein, who won it for the third time for his marvelous work on a recent restoration yet another SM (his 4th). Congratulations George!

George also announced that the winner of the 2022 Dave Kane “all it needs is a clutch” Award was Gérard Jeantet for saving a DS21 Break that languished on Dave Kane’s property on Yonge Street in Richmond Hill for many years before being moved to a warehouse in Etobicoke where it has sat neglected for almost 25 years. Gérard has taken on the task to get it back on the road and he feels that should be a reality by spring of 2023.

As the party wrapped up just after 1:30 pm, each attendee got to take home a special Citroenvie Christmas poster and a Citroenvie “Zoomer” mug, that will hopefully aid in keeping them warm as they sip on a hot beverage this Holiday Season.
