We are pleased to see a factual and accurate article about Citroën’s classic DS be published the other day on the Hotcars website. The article’s author, Robert Percy, wrote a refreshing 3-minute read that can be considered a great primer for anyone wondering about them.
Thankfully void of cliches and hyperbole, Robert gives a concise description of it’s launch, Citroën’s offering of the more basic ID version, the interest by Rolls Royce in adapting Citroën’s hydraulic suspension for their Silver Shadow model and Citroën’s DS replacement models — the CX, XM and the C6.
Also shown a table showing the engine size, transmissions offered and power specs of the various D models.
