For years Canadians been frustrated when having to refuel at US gas stations. Since the US has not yet adopted PIN technology on their credit cards, the pumps require that a ZIP code be entered on the key pad. However the keypad is only numerical input. Canadian postal codes are made up of three numbers and three letters. (For example: H3C 5T9). But, Canadians can get around that limitation. They can enter the three numerals from their postal code followed by three zeros to authorize the gas purchase. This has been tried successfully in several states so we help this tip proves useful. Of course we can’t guarantee it will work everywhere. As they say; “your mileage may vary”!
