Belgian built US market 1956 2CV. Originally delivered and sold in southern California.
This car was originally sold in the LA area , and owned by its previous owner from 1958 until 2024. It was last on the road in 2008, although in its present state it would need substantial mechanical attention to be made roadworthy.
It is mostly a complete car, (missing the rear seat, front bumper and having incorrect headlamps, original wheels have been replaced with 15” rims) and although the body is overall rust free, I would recommend a new frame as patchwork is evident.
The car has languished for many years in a carport in Summerland, BC due to the previous owners deteriorating health. It is currently registered in my name in British Columbia.

Here is a video showing car where the previous owner had written a letter to the CBC Radio show “As It Happens”. There is a slideshow of the car while his letter is read. When I played the audio back for the owner when he was in the hospital, he smiled and said; “I may have embellished things a little!”
